# A primeira camada é a mais importante

A primeira camada é, muito provavelmente, a parte mais importante de toda a impressão. Ela define a base da peça. Se essa camada não aderir bem à mesa ou sair com extrusão irregular, o restante da impressão fica comprometido.

Se o bico estiver alto demais, a adesão cai e podem surgir empenamento ou deslocamento de camadas. Se estiver baixo demais, o bico pode raspar a superfície, danificar a mesa e ainda atrapalhar a extrusão. Uma primeira camada bem feita melhora a aderência, a estabilidade dimensional e a chance de sucesso da peça.

Impressoras modernas ajudam bastante com autonivelamento e calibração automática da altura Z inicial. Mesmo assim, ainda vale observar a primeira camada com atenção, principalmente ao usar material novo, trocar a superfície da mesa ou imprimir logo após manutenção.
